“Dutz! Duuuutz!” the mother calls. But Dutz, he wouldn’t show up. After all, you don’t want to be tied to your mother’s apron strings. Outside, the big wide world is waiting to be tasted by Dutz’s tongue...
Dutz – half man, half bear – runs away. You can hear his mother call him, but Dutz is far too curious to listen; filled with wonder, he explores the world. That is, he starts by exploring the children in the audience, since he is afraid of them. He soon learns that they are actually his friends, though, so that he can turn to new things to discover. On a green meadow in the middle of the stage, there is a giant wardrobe...

“Hallo?” is an adventurous trip to things and senses. In a performance filled with humour, music and touching pictures, we will follow Dutz as he takes his first steps into an unknown world; a world in which normal things turn into wonders and wondrous things become normal.

theater katerland was founded by Graham Smart and Taki Papaconstantinou as a professional independent theatre group in Wintherthur, Switzerland. The group produces performances for children and adults. Additionally, they develop theatre and theatrical experiments for teenagers and adults under the name of bravebühne, founded in 1999. theater katerland is one of the leading independent Swiss theatre groups.
