(A Ghost named Future)

Does becoming an adult mean that you have to make an eternal compromise? Or can you still be recklessly happy? Melanie is 23 years old and a student of medicine. She has always been a straight “A” student. A daughter to be proud of. But still; something isn’t right. A tiny voice in her head wouldn’t stop asking uncomfortable questions. Is this really MY life? Could it be that I have dedicated it to somebody else? To my parents? Their expectations? Social achievement principles? For now, Melanie creates a family constellation to find out more about her position. Where is she now, how far away are her parents and where is the future? These questions lead to an investigative journey to her past.

kunst)spiel was founded in spring 2011 by Valerie Kattenfels and Barbara Dauer. With their association, they want to create a platform for cultural projects combining different branches of the arts with a focus on theatre. The artists involved may vary from project to project, but the playful, tongue-in-cheek approach to art focusing on experiments stays the same.
